The United States is home to several of the greatest universites and colleges anywhere. Young people from all over the world strive in their early academic careers to prepare for admission to colleges in the US. Along with good grades, university admissions departments also consider a thing they call demonstrated interest. This isn’t the type of interest that says, “I would like to attend your university simply because I’ve read it is famous.” It doesn’t say, “I want YOU to offer ME admission to your college merely because I barely meet your prerequisites.” What it does say is, “Your University certainly is the only match for me on the grounds that, I share your core ideals and need to contribute so and so.” It says, I have examined the works to do with Professor Henderson, and I wish to work with him and his team to more deeply expand the theory regarding so and so.” It displays an intimate familiarity with the school and the reason you want to attend.
This demonstrated interest is communicated via your essay, and such an essay can not simply be tossed together during your senior year of high school.
Attending an International Middle School in the United States offers the chance to visit universities and discover more about them first hand. You can learn from your instructors how to start organizing your secondary school years allowing you to focus on a few top colleges. This is also a much better time for you to find out that you may perhaps not like some particular reality of a school, or that as good as its reputation is, you simply do not like the size or environment or town, or so on.
